Our Specific Programmes to Eliminate Poverty

Increase the Minimum Wage Rate

Objective

To improve the overall standard of living for minimum wage workers by providing them with a more appropriate income level to handle the cost of living increases.

Our Project

We are paying a salary of 8 USD/Day (Legal minimum wage is around 5 USD) for the workers directly employed in our plantations and factory

*Our salary rate is higher than National Level

Healthy Eating Events in Schools

Objective

To activate a school to achieve its potential to improve health and for the community to understand the importance and feasibility of improving health through schools

Our Project

We provide breakfast in the classroom of selected 3 schools to ensure that all students can have a nutritious breakfast at school

Further conducting Games and activities to teach children about food and healthy eating with available resources within the estate

Support Pregnant Women & New Mothers in the plantations and factory

Objective

To help the woman to increase the quality of her diet in protective nutrients as well as energy to meet the elevated needs of gestation and after this period

Project

The pregnant women from underprivileged families in our estates and factories are receiving monthly food support, and vitamin and mineral supplements to improve their nutrition during pregnancy

Donate Dry Foods for Elders

Objective

To provide independence to senior citizens in daily life, and to re-establish high values of life nurtured by them

Our Project

we provide food rations with healthy groceries full of key nutrients, such as Vitamins A and C, calcium, and iron to individuals aged 70 and older

There are 30 old age persons in the coconut plantation families able to eat nutritious food in time without depending on others

Objective

Providing cataract and vision-related health services to the local community toward enabling them to regain their vision and eradicate blindness of them

Reduce Iron Anemia by providing Nutrition Meals

Objective

To treat iron-deficiency anemia and its underlying cause and substantial reduction of iron deficiency in children and elders among estate and factory community

As the report, 25% of people suffer from iron anemia in our estates

Provide a vegetarian nutrition meal rich in iron for estate workers and their family members who suffering from Iron Anemia

Growing iron-rich Moringa trees within the plantation and factory premises

We employ volunteer teachers paying an allowance for the estate schools to address long-term teacher vacant situations

Scholarship for our Estate Students

Clean Water Supply Project for the Estate

Objective

To provide clean and safe drinking water to reduce the incidence of water-borne diseases and traveling of the communities along distance to collect water

Construct a water supply resource within a reasonable distance of 400m inside the estate that allows access for the whole plantation and factory community

To promote conditions for environmentally sustainable, economically efficient, and equitably allocated use of water resources
